Connect with nature - Hope walk on the beach

It’s never been more important to talk about mental health.

Mental health isn’t just about getting the crucial help we need in difficult times. This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week focuses on what we can do to work on our wellbeing, such as connect with nature.

More than half of UK adults say that being close to nature improved their mental health, 4 in 10 people say it made them feel less worried or anxious. Almost two-thirds of people said being close to nature meant they experienced positive emotions.

Nature can't solve all our problems but it can really help put things in perspective, take the pressure off and bring calm joy and wonder to our daily lives.

Not everyone feels ready to venture out yet or is able to travel. Why not try one of our Hope Programme guided meditation activities?

No matter where you are, sit back, relax and enjoy your walk on the beach.

For more ways to get involved in Mental Health Awareness Week and #ConnectWithNature visit the Mental Health Foundation website.

We hope you enjoyed the meditation. And if you, or someone you know, want to try more of the Hope Programme, see the list of our upcoming free courses below.
