NEGLECTFUL ARTIST

HOPE PROGRAMME FACILITATOR

HOPE PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS OF AUTISTIC CHILDREN

I've always had an ability to draw from a very young age, and an ability to enlarge a picture free hand. I attended Art College in Coventry after my A levels but struggled to find a place with Art... the teacher didn't know what box I fitted into. Hence the Neglectful Artist. I occasionally draw at work but enjoy helping others with their Creativity and Wellbeing. Tina is a founding member of our social enterprise. She has been a Hope volunteer over 10 years. In 2012 Tina was named Coventry Mum of the Year. She has raised 9 children, which includes 5 of her sister’s children who are autistic whilst actively organising and delivering over 300 Hope Programme courses for Parents with autistic children in Coventry and Warwickshire. Artwork - Lifeboat Tina drew it after overhearing one of the parents on her course say: “The Hope course is a lifeboat, scooping me and my sons up and pulling us back to the shore."
